PART X, LINE 2:

“The coalition is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (the code) and california income taxes under section 23701(d) of the california revenue and taxation code. The internal revenue service classified the coalition as one that is not a private foundation within the meaning of section 509(a) of the code because it is an organization described in section(s) 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(a)(vi). U.s. Gaap requires that the coalition recognizes the impact of tax positions in the consolidated financial statements if that position is more likely than not to be sustained on audit, based on the technical merits of the position. During the year ended december 31, 2024, the coalition performed an evaluation of uncertain tax positions and did not note any matters that would require recognition in the consolidated financial statements or which might have an effect on its tax-exempt status. The coalition is subject to potential income tax audits on open tax years by any taxing jurisdiction in which it operates. The statute of limitations for federal purposes is three years and for california is four years, respectively.”

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActyOtherGrp/Desc1CENTER FOR COMMUNITY ORGANIZING (CCO): THE CCO WILL BE A PEOPLE'S CENTER THAT HARNESSES THE POWER OF COMMUNITIES AND SUPPORTS ACTIVISTS NATIONWIDE IN MULTI-RACIAL ORGANIZING TOWARD OUR COLLECTIVE FREEDOM. THE CCO'S PRIMARY FOCUS IS TO TRAIN THE NEXT GENERATION OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS. THROUGH ORGANIZING SCHOOL, WE WILL EQUIP PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS WITH THE SKILLS, CONFIDENCE, AND CONNECTIONS TO OTHER PEOPLE REQUIRED TO CREATE SOCIAL CHANGE. IT WILL GENERATE STRATEGY, CREATE NARRATIVES TO WIN HEARTS AND MINDS, DESIGN ART, PRODUCE CAMPAIGNS, AND BRING IMAGINATION TO LIFE A NEW WORLD ROOTED IN DIGNITY, HUMANITY, CONNECTION, AND JUSTICE.
