Form 990, Part I, Line 1 - Organization Mission or Significant Activities

The foundation works to create, communicate and highlight strategies and technologies that can improve health, education and the environment. It does this through the creation of programs and conferences, training and media. Green technology enable public and private sector sustainability leaders to share lessons learned and best practices as well as training on california energy and green building codes and editorial content. Fase also works in partnership with scientists and educators to develop educational programs, reports, white papers, classroom lessons and other resources to broaden stem and environmental literacy education pathways.

Form 990, Part III, Line 1 - Organization Mission

Through public interest communications and events, the foundation works to improve the environment, reduce the impact of pollution on human health, support the development of sustainable economics and inspire student interest in science, technology, engineering, and math and environmental literacy. These activities forward its often referred to mission theme - supporting and facilitating, science and education in service of life.

Form 990, Part III, Line 4A - Program Service Accomplishments

The foundation's green technology initiative, now in its 19th year, continues to support california's statewide efforts in sustainability. From building and transportation sustainability to environmental literacy california stands as a world leader in establishing standards and practices that others strive to emulate. Fase's green technology team and their advisors are proud to serve and to meet the challenges inherent in these tasks. Through online newsletters and articles, virtual training and workshops and in person events through fase's the green technology initiative supports public and private sector efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve building health, conserve resources and create clean and sustainable communities. Green technology summits and forums and training provide valuable resources to sustainability leaders and decision makers from state and local government, schools and colleges and the private sector. These resources enable major stakeholders in all of these sectors to highlight and disseminate innovations in policy, practice and technology. In 2024 these events served over 600 attendees and over 60 companies. Each event included keynotes and a full day of education sessions covering a wide variety of sustainability topics of interest to private and public sector facility managers, influencers, and companies with sustainability solutions. In 2024 green technology media reached thousands of stakeholders and leaders throughout california.

Form 990, Part III, Line 4C - Program Service Accomplishments

Environmental health: for more than three decades, the foundation has engaged in projects addressing the problem of chemical body burden - the accumulation of environmental chemicals in fat and blood. It has come to play a unique and vital role in efforts to bring relief to those affected by toxic exposures from the environment or the workplace through a detoxification regimen involving exercise, sauna, vitamin and mineral supplements and other elements. In 2024 fase provided scientific support for a project in vietnam helping vietnamese citizens affected by exposures to the defoliant agent orange. In 2024 hundreds of people in vietnam underwent the detoxification program which fase training and support contributed to.
