All board members and employees are made aware on a yearly basis that these by-laws are in effect.in addition, policy 3.3 in leads personnel policies states that employees may have outside business interests and outside employment as long as these do not interfere with job performance or creates a profit for themselves which is the result from their affiliation with lead. Employees must have prior authorization to participate in outside business interests, with the understanding that no outside business work is to be done on lead time or with lead equipment. Lead also expects its work to be completed as a first priority, and that any outside business work is of a nature that will not conflict with the interests or work product of lead.”

“Compensation for the executive director and any officers of lead san diego must be approved in advance by a majority of the board of directors executive committee. The executive director is responsible for submitting any requests regarding compensation to the executive committee. Compensation requests that exceed the budget approved by the board of directors that is currently in effect requires approval of a majority of the board of directors at a regularly scheduled board meeting.”
