Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Line 11B: Form 990 Review Process

The accounting records are kept on quickbooks by the executive director and the administrative assistant. The quickbooks and other source documents are given to the auditor each year, once the audit is completed, then the auditor prepares the tax return, which is then reviewed by the executive director, who then turns it over to a board member for final review and signature.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 15A: Compensation Review & Approval Process - CEO, Top Management

The Board meets outside the executive directors annually, to discuss both merit and cost of living increases.The Board uses their own experiences with other non-profit organizations along with various economic factors to determine the fair market salary of the executive director.
