Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Kollel Los Angeles is a multi purpose congregation, house of worship, library, community resource center, and a provider of classes and educational opportunities for Orthodox Religious Jews in Southern California. For over thirty five years, the Kollel has been the integral and driving force for the spiritual development of the Los Angeles Orthodox Jewish Community. The Kollel operates as other community Kollels in other large towns operate and has been recognized internationally for its' commitment and contributions toward authentic Orthodox Judaism and its' related academic development. The Kollel is comprised of experienced Rabbis, volunteers, community leaders and laypeople, as well as students - all of whom are devoted to the spiritual growth and development of the Orthodox Jewish community in Los Angeles and in the United States.
