Pacific clinics provides mental health, employment, housing and substance abuse services. Since 1926, pacific clinics has been a pioneer in behavioral health care services to individuals and families across their life span and serving the diverse population of los angeles, orange, san bernardino, riverside, and ventura counties of southern california.

Officers and directors receive a written policy regarding conflicts of interest and sign an annual disclosure form, which is reviewed by the board of directors and management staff. The compliance officer monitors any conflicts that arise and they are addressed at the board meetings.

The organization retains the services of an independent compensation consultant to benchmark compensation for the chief executive officer (ceo), chief financial officer (cfo), and other executive positions using market data for nonprofit organizations comparable to pacific clinics in terms of budget and number of employees. The executive/finance committee reviews the compensation consultant's data and makes recommendations on the compensation of the ceo, cfo, and other executives to the board for approval.

PART X, LINE 2:

Pacific clinics has adopted certain provisions of accounting standards codification (asc) topic 740, income taxes. The provisions clarify the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an organization's financial statements and prescribe a recognition threshold and measurement standard for the financial statement recognition and measurement of an income tax position taken or expected to be taken on a tax return. Pacific clinics is generally no longer subject to u.s. Federal or state income tax examinations by tax authorities for years before the year ended june 30, 2017. Pacific clinics reviewed its tax position for all open tax years and concluded that the provisions of asc 740 did not have an impact on its financial position.

IRS990/Desc0MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES - MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ACT PROGRAM PROVIDES FOR SERVICES TO CHILDREN, YOUTH, ADULTS AND OLDER ADULTS. THE FULL ARRAY OF SERVICES COVERS SEVERAL COUNTIES AND INCLUDES PSYCHIATRIC/PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT, PSYCHOSOCIAL PROGRAMS, INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING, MEDICATION EVALUATION AND MONITORING, HEALTH NAVIGATION, HOUSING, EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION AND INTEGRATED TREATMENT FOR CO-OCCURRING MENTAL ILLNESS AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE DISORDERS. WHEN POSSIBLE, THIS PROGRAM EMPLOYS PEER ADVOCATES/FAMILY ADVOCATES TO ASSIST TREATMENT STAFF IN REACHING SPECIALIZED POPULATIONS IN A MANNER THAT IS SENSITIVE TO THEIR NEEDS AND CULTURE. DURING FY20-21 THE AGENCY'S MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES PROVIDED SERVICES TO APPROXIMATELY 14,600 CLIENTS, 6.6% (AGES 0-5), 20.36% (AGES 6-15), 19.08% (AGES 16-25), 23.46% (AGES 26-59), AND 8.04% (AGES 60+) 22.47% UNKNOWN. THE RACIAL MAKEUP WAS APPROXIMATELY 47.74% HISPANIC, 15.53% ASIAN/PACIFIC ISLANDER, 10.22% AFRICAN AMERICAN, 16.3% WHITE AND 10.21% OTHER/UNKNOWN.NOTE: EXPENSES CONSIST OF DIRECT PROGRAM EXPENSES.
