“Part iii - what is the organizations primary exempt purposethe mission of the rogue valley mentoring is to support, engage and empower youth through mentoring. Rcmn provides mentoring services in circles (groups), individual matches for youth and young parents aged 10-24 by volunteer mentors. We offer various programs based on youth engagement and leadership. Part iii, line 28: mentor training & services:rcmn provides an initial training for two full days to start and provides continuing education every month as well as mentor circle to provide on-going support and education for volunteer mentors. In 2016 rcmn trained forty-eight (48) new mentors, had approximately 17 one-on-one matches with a total of 8 circles. The numbers served in the circles is 180. Activities such as bowling, rock climbing, an occasonal movie, ice cream dates, pizza parties, etc. Are provided for the one to one matches and the circles. Part iii, line 29: high school serviceswe retained a program coordinator to train ashland high school students for a peer mentoring program at a wellness center created by us and the students in the shcool. This coordinator had created a relationship with the administration at the school and received their approval for this program. Our program coordinator spent many hours with the youth during the fall, training and setting up the center. The program manager also engaged several mentors in the training and expectations of their role when the center was open for students. Our trained mentors were on site at all times that the center was open to students. This is the agreement that we had with ashland high.”
