Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Quest qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and section 23701(d) of the california revenue and taxation code. Accordingly, it is not subject to federal or state income taxes. In addition, quest has been determined by the internal revenue service not to be a private foundation within the meaning of section 509(a) of the internal revenue code. As of december 31, 2017 and 2016, management evaluated quest's tax positions and concluded that quest has maintained its tax-exempt status and has taken no uncertain tax positions that require adjustment to the financial statements. Therefore, no provision or liability for income taxes related to uncertain tax positions has been included in the financial statements.
