SUPPORT, Includes these provisions:1) US Department of Transportation will be authorized to provide grants to states for use in notifying registered vehicle owners about safety recalls (but consumers will still be able to re-register their vehicles, even if recalls have not been performed)2) Early Warning Reporting Systems Improvement Act will improve reporting of auto-related fatalities and injuries to the public.3) Stay Aware For Everyone (SAFE) Act will require the DOT to study how driver-monitoring systems can prevent driver distraction, driver disengagement, complacency from use of automation and misuse of advanced driver-assist systems.
