Mission

Founded in 1994 The Praxis Group is a network of individuals with a wide range of skills and experience who are committed to change through community organizing and cultural activism. We specialize in helping passionate individuals and groups to create successful and effective projects programs events and organizations in their communities.

Founded in 1994 on the principle of innovative ideas, practically applied, The Praxis Group is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization dedicated to providing organizational development guidance and technical support to non-profit community projects, programs and organizations.

Program Services

Project Lifeline works to alleviate the suffering of children in detention centers by bringing visibility to the issues, providing expert information and resources, and helping families in need of guidance and support. Expenses were related to the project's organizing and educational work.$0$4,482
Praxis provided scholarship awards to the winners of the annual Digital Safari Innovation Fair at Mt. Diablo High School. The Fair is the culmination of a semester-long entrepreneurial training program for seniors in English, Economics and Multimedia. Awards ranged from $50 to $334 per student (awarded by team).$0$1,462
In July 2020, Praxis agreed to serve as the fiscal sponsor for Drawdown Bay Area, a newly-formed organization dedicated to organizing and educational initiatives around climate change. This project is still in its formative stage - Praxis is providing ongoing organizational development consulting services and technical expertise with respect to data and fundraising infrastructure. Expenses are banking service charges.$0$20
In November 2020, Praxis agreed to serve as the fiscal sponsor for Adopt-a-Doll, a project initiated and run by a high school student in Danville, CA. Adopt-a-Doll receives donations of American Girl dolls, refurbishes them then gives them to young girls in shelters. This project is still in its formative stage. No income or expenses through Praxis in 2020. In November 2020, Praxis began providing organizational development consulting services and technical expertise with respect to data and fundraising infrastructure to the founders of the Heartfelt Help Foundation, a 501c3 organization.
