Review of 990 before filing form 990 is reviewed by the cfo and executive director and a copy of the 990 is sent to the board of directors for review prior to filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

Compliance with conflict of interest policy seattle theatre group explains the conflict of interest policy at the time of hire and asks employees to disclose of any activities that may be inconsistent with the policy. In addition annually the board members receive a copy of stg's conflict of interest policy and are required to sign a statement disclosing conflicts. These are reviewed by the cfo and executive director.

Determining compensation of executive director and key employees the executive director's compensation is approved by the board of directors. Key employee compensation is approved by the executive director and board of directors. Stg's human resources director conducts salary surveys of pertinent and comparable positions and makes recommendations to stg's executive director and the board of directors.

INVESTMENT IN A JOINT VENTURE STG INVESTED $50,000 IN A BROADWAY SHOW THAT TOURED NATIONALLY IN 2015 AND 2016. BEFORE INVESTING, THE TRANSACTION WAS REVIEWED BY STG'S ATTORNEYS AND THEN DISCUSSED WITH THE BOARD. During the year, STG wrote down the REMAINING investment BALANCE to $0 and does not expect any further activity related to this joint venture.

During the fiscal period ended 8/31/16, STG presented 535 performances with over 633,637 in attendance. Events included live theatrical music and dance performances such as concerts, broadway style productions, dance and films. STG preserves and maintains three historic theatres. STG's education and community engagement division offered educational programs for over 41,695 community participants. These programs include school residences, master classes, workshops, tours, young artist training and performance opportunities, historic theatre tours, with subsidized tickets providing access and benefiting young artists, disadvantaged, undeserved youth and the community in general.
