Mission

MyPath positions low-income youth to take control of their finances and achieve economic mobility.

MyPath engages low-income young people in banking, saving and credit-building to improve their access to college, jobs, housing and affordable loans. Ultimately, we teach them how to use financial products and goal-setting to achieve upward mobility and their potential.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 11B: Form 990 Review Process

The Executive Director and the Treasurer review the 990 draft and provide the whole Board of Directors with a recommendation, and a copy of the final 990 to be submitted to the IRS, prior to the Board vote to approve the 990.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts

The Board of Directors annually sign a conflict of interest policy form to determine whether any conflicts have arisen. In addition, the Board discusses potential conflicts of interest when city contracts are being reviewed and approved.

IRS990/Desc0MyPath's groundbreaking financial capability program models reached growing numbers of youth and young adults this year, in some cases delivered directly by MyPath staff, and in other cases, through partnerships using MyPath's new technical assistance and train-the-trainer program, and our online platform, MyPath Money. MyPath reached over 4,000 low-income working youth in 6 cities with financial education, financial products, incentives and peer support, resulting in improved credit scores, increased savings, new emergency savings funds and the creation and use of personal budgets. 85% of participants met their personal savings and credit-building goals. MyPath outside evaluation results also show significant increases in confidence, as well as improved future outlook and financial self-efficacy.
