Part X : FIN48 Footnote

Mission housing development corporation (mhdc) and other not-for-profit corporations are exempt from federal income taxation under internal revenue code section 501(c)(3) and from california franchise taxation under the revenue and taxation code section 23701(d). The income or loss from the combined partnerships is reported by the partners on their income tax returns and, accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been made in the financial statements.mhdc and affiliates believe that they have appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and as such, do not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements. The federal and state income tax and information returns for the years ending december 31, 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2017 are subject to examination by the regulatory agencies, generally for three years and four years after they were filed for federal and state, respectively.
