Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Cscdc is a nonprofit corporation exempt from federal income taxes under internal revenue code section 501(c)(4) and from state of california income taxes, except on unrelated business income. Therefore, these consolidated financial statements contain no provision for such taxes. Informational returns are filed annually with federal and state taxing authorities. Cscdc is not aware of any transactions that would affect its tax-exempt status. Cscdc had no unrecognized tax benefits as of september 30, 2018 and 2017, respectively. Cscdc believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the consolidated financial statements. For the years ended september 30, 2018 and 2017, there were no tax, interest or penalties recorded in the statements of activities and changes in net assets.
