THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR THE US SAILING TEAM IN PREPARATION FOR THE 2016 OLYMPICSTHE FOUNDATION MAKES GRANTS TO DEVELOP THE INTERST AND SKILLS OF YOUTH IN THE SPORT OF SAILING BY SUPPORTING PROGRAMS THAT INTRODUCE YOUTH TO SAILING THROUGH THE PROGRAMS OF THE TREASURE ISLAND SAILING CENTER AND SEA SCOUTS, AND BY PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR DISADVANTAGED YOUTH TO ATTEND SUMMER SAILING DAY CAMPS AND TRAINING PROGRAMS OFFERED BY THE ST. FRANCIS YACHT CLUB. THE FOUNDATION ALSO SUPPORTS EXPANDED ACCESS TO THE SPORT OF SAILING WITH A GRANT TO THE BAY AREA ASSOCIATION OF DISABLED SAILORS TO SUPPORT PARTICIPATION IN NATIONAL COMPETITIVE RACES.
