The organization updated its bylaws to state that the authorzed number of directors of the school will be not less than 13 and not more than 25. This was effective in august 24, 2024.

Finance committee reviews the tax returns and the entire board receives a complete copy and approves it before filing.

The policy covers all employees, trustees, and contractors. Issues are reported to the head of school. Trustees are required to fill out a conflict of interest form, which is signed electronically and stored in a secure online drive. Board members are reminded to report any relationships that may be in conflict with the policy.

Head of school (hos) and chief financial officer (cfo): both have local and national comparative data of their peers that is reviewed by the board of directors for the hos and by the hos for the cfo. The process for the hos was taken in june 2025. The cfo's compensation was last reviewed in may 2025.

Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

The earnings from the endowment funds will be used to further the mission of the school by providing operating funds and additional funds to help provide a better education for the students. We have several endowment funds. The cdg fund is intended to generate unrestricted income. We have two scholarship/financial aid funds and one art fund. These generate income to help those areas of our budget and are restricted to those areas.

PART X, LINE 2:

The school is a qualified organization exempt from federal income and california franchise taxes under the provisions of sections 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and 23701d of the california revenue and taxation code, respectively. The school has evaluated its current tax positions and has concluded that as of june 30, 2025, the school does not have any significant uncertain tax positions for which a reserve would be necessary.

IN PRESCHOOL AND PK, STUDENTS SPEND BETWEEN 85% OF THEIR INSTRUCTIONAL TIME IN THE IMMERSION LANGUAGE (FRENCH OR CHINESE) AND 15% IN ENGLISH. IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FIFTH GRADES, STUDENTS SPEND BETWEEN 60% TO 75% OF THEIR INSTRUCTIONAL TIME IN THE IMMERSION LANGUAGE (FRENCH, CHINESE, OR GERMAN ). THE FRENCH CURRICULUM FOLLOWS GUIDELINES FROM THE FRENCH MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, ALLOWING STUDENTS TO CONTINUE THEIR STUDIES ON GRADE LEVEL IN ANY FRENCH SCHOOL IN THE WORLD (CONTINUATION IN SCH O) AFTER THEY LEAVE INTL. THE SIXTH THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE MIDDLE SCHOOL COMBINES THE FRENCH, CHINESE, AND GERMAN PROGRAMS TO CREATE AN INTERNATIONAL MIDDLE SCHOOL. STUDENTS FROM THE THREE PROGRAMS ARE MIXED FOR CLASSES TAUGHT IN ENGLISH AND SEPARATED FOR CLASSES TAUGHT IN THEIR IMMERSION LANGUAGE. THE MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM PREPARES STUDENTS FOR SUCCESS IN AMERICAN, FRENCH, OR INTERNATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS.
