Mission

The esop association represents the interests of all corporations that sponsor employee stock ownership plans, or esops. The esop association provides advocacy and educational services on behalf of its members. Corporate membership in the esop association is open to all esop companies; members range from closely held businesses to public companies, and include both c and s corporations, across all industries.

To represent the interests of all corporations that sponsor employee stock ownership plans.

In emergency situations that arise between the regular quarterly meetings of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee shall have the power of the Board of Directors. If the Executive Committee does act as the Board of Directors in an emergency session, the Board of Directors must review any such action as the second item of the agenda at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Directors.

The Association staff provides presentations to the many conferences and meetings noted in 4a above. The Association sells written materials, and electronic materials on the operation of ESOPs in a manner that improves corporate performance, and complies with law and regulations. A membership directory is provided that includes professionals who provide unique services to corporations sponsoring ESOPs, a listing of Corporate members, by state, and by line of business.
