“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: New Start Tattoo Removal ProgramNew Start provides the removal of visible gang and drug related tattoos to youth in the Eden and Tri-Cities geographic areas. The services include tattoo removal, goal setting and group support of youth people, 13-25 years of age, wanting positive change. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Summer and After-School Youth Employment and Education Program (SASYEP)Provide summer and year-round paid employment and educational opportunities to Cal-Learn, CalWORKS, foster care and youth on probation, ages 14-19. Through the SASYEP at EYFC, the youth will receive comprehensive, seamless, wrap-around services designed to:1.Earn money for work experience, educational activities, and academic achievements2.Experience financial independence, and learn and practice money management3.Achieve a sense of self-worth and self esteem4.Obtain career information on specialized fields that match their interests and aptitudes5.Develop job-readiness skills, job search skills, and job keeping skills OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Drug Free Communities (DFC)The Hayward Coalition for Healthy Youth coalition work in collaboration with several sectors to 1) reduce substance abuse among youth in Hayward, and overtime, among adults by addressing the factors in our community that increase the risk of substance abuse & promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse; and 2) establish & strengthen collaboration among Haywards non-profit agencies, federal, state, & local governments, schools, law enforcement to support efforts to prevent & reduce substance abuse among youth”
