Cal Voices improves the lives of California residents through advocacy, education, research, and culturally relevant services. Across all programs, the organization partners with individuals and families facing mental health challenges to promote wellness, recovery, prevention, and greater access to services and support.

Norcalmha provides peer support services fostering wellness and recovery for everyone through advocay education and culturally relevant research.

This is done through empowering youth and family members to have a voice at all levels of system care and public policy. SAFE also provide support groups for families and youth who are served by Sacramento Countys Children System of Care, which includes Behavioral Health, Juvenile Justice, and Child Protective Services. Our SAFE teams provide education and training to organizations throughout Sacramento County, and are available to speak about youth mental health topics at various events. We provide services in English, Hmong and Spanish.

PPs meet with clients and their family members or support persons while clients receiving in patient psychiatric services and offer mentoring and/or coaching to clients by helping clients set recovery goals, develop individual Wellness and Recovery Action Plans, solve problems directly related to recovery and provide encouragement, motivation and support to clients seeking to establish or strengthen their recovery.

The program is funded by the Mental Health Services Act through Amador County Behavioral Health Services. The Client and Family Advocate CFA functions as liaison between Amador County Behavioral Health Services and adult public mental health clients and their family members to improve the services and supports offered throughout the county. The CFA coordinates and collaborates the local public, private and nonprofit entities to meet client mental health needs and provides client / family leadership on coalitions, committees and workgroups.

In just a couple of hours per week, volunteers are able to reduce isolation, and improve quality of life, all while building new connections within the community. The program also provides community education and training about mental health issues, cultural competency and the value of volunteering.

The Wrmline provides support servides in the following langiuages English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian, Chinese, Hmong, and Sinhala.

WISE stands for Workforce Integration Support and Education. It is funded by the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development OSHPD. WISE provides training, professional networking, coaching and career development tools to consumer and family member peers who are working or volunteering in Californias public mental health system, and offers training, education, and technical assistance to public mental health agencies and providers who employ peers. All of our program activities focus on building workplace supports for peers and creating and sustaining a more psychologically healthy, recovery-oriented, and peer-friendly work environment. WISE programs include Peer Personnel Training and Placement Program and the Statewide Support and Development of Public Mental Health Support Workforce.

The Client and Family Advocate CFA functions as liaison between Amador County Behavioral Health Services and adult public mental health clients and their family members to improve the services and supports offered throughout the county. The CFA coordinates and collaborates the local public, private and nonprofit entities to meet client mental health needs and provides client / family leadership on coalitions, committees and workgroups.
