The form 990 is then shared with the union's executive board at the next monthly meeting.”

The national labor relations board also has rules against union conflicts of interest, such as union ownership of businesses that may compete with employers whose employees the union represents.”

Compensation approval is documented in the minutes of the executive board and general membership minutes.”
