“The documents are reviewed by the psu alumni association board's finance and executive committees, the association bookkeeper, executive staff. The executive committee is the board's leadership team comprised of officers and committee chairs. Documents are available to all other members of the board for their review and input. Any corrections to the draft documents are made through the accounting firm and revised documents are re- distributed to the aforementioned and reviewed. If no further changes are necessary, a motion is made within the executive committee to accept the documents and a vote is taken. Once approved, the final documents and a notice of approval are sent via email to the full board; hard copies are available upon request.”

The scope and purpose of our work extends world- wide to alumni and honorary alumni, current and former students, current and former parents, and friends of the university. The purpose of the alumni association is to create and enhance opportunities for alumni engagement in support of portland state university and promote the benefits of the reciprocal relationship between alumni, students, families and friends of the university. We do this collaboratively with the psu foundation, and in partnership with the president's office, government relations and university communications, student affairs and the schools and colleges to engender a culture of philanthropy and engagement at portland state university.”
