“Organization's process to review form 990 the form 990 is prepared by an accounting firm and reviewed in detail by the preparer with the psu foundation alumni relations committee of the board of trustees. The alumni relations committee oversees the activities and financial documents for alumni association activities. All reviewers are given time to respond to any revisions. Any revisions to the draft documents are made through the accounting firm. After incorporation of all revisions and prior to filing, the final form 990 is sent electronically to all members of the board of trustees, with an e-mail calling their attention to portions of the form most likely to be read by the public. Hard copies are available upon request. The forms are signed by chief financial officer.”

Annually, each board member is asked to review, sign and date a document acknowledging they have read and understand the documents and they will disclose any potential conflict of interest. These documents are shared and discussed annually at the beginning of each new fiscal year during the september meeting.”

“Portland state university alumni association includes our community of over 200,000 psu graduates and 27,000 students. The scope and purpose of our work extends world-wide to alumni and honorary alumni, current and former students, current and former parents, and friends of the university. The purpose of the alumni association is to create and enhance opportunities for alumni engagement in support of portland state university and promote the benefits of the reciprocal relationship between alumni, students, families and friends of the university. We do this collaboratively with the psu foundation, and in partnership with the president's office, government relations and university communications, student affairs and the schools and colleges to engender a culture of philanthropy and engagement at portland state university.”
