“During the reporting period, cascadia wildlands accomplished a number of significant victories, including: 1)creating a lasting solution to keep the elliott state forest safe from privatization, 2) protecting the recreation-focused thurst0n hills from clearcutting through legal and grassroots organizing campaigns, 3) advancing policy to expand the wild rogue wilderness and protect other threatened areas in the siskiyou mountains, 4) winning a lawsuit challenging the trump administration's decision to prematurely remove endangered species act protections from recovering gray wolves, and 5) halting the jordan cove lng project and 232-mile pacific connector pipeline that threatened wildlands, waterways, species and tribal interests in southwest oregon. All of cascadia wildlands' work is done in strategic coalition to bolster our effectiveness.”
