Mission

The mission of the pro-voice project is to inspire the people of idaho to explore, embrace, and advocate for abortion access and reproductive rights, utilizing the power of personal story. The pro-voice project initiates storytelling campaigns to promote understanding of the abortion journey and address obstacles to care, all while challenging and dismantling the negative stigma surrounding abortion within our communities, families, and individual perspectives.

Monthly sip n bitch meetings offered up-to-date information on abortion- related news, pvp activities, and featured guest speakers, providing a safe space for community engagement and discussion. The unhappy hour event drew over 400 attendees to mourn the loss of labor and delivery services in sandpoint, generating substantial media coverage and gathering numerous personal birthing stories at bonner general hospital. Additionally, two abortion story writing workshops conducted in sandpoint and mccall empowered idaho residents to share their experiences, fostering community solidarity.

Three abortion storytelling stage performances were held in sandpoint, boise, and moscow, attracting hundreds of attendees and numerous sponsors. These events encouraged open dialogue on abortion access within families, churches, and communities. Additionally, three public speaking engagements and symposiums were conducted in partnership with sandpoint pride, the idaho democratic state central committee, and the league of women voters to discuss the power of storytelling in addressing difficult topics. The organization also organized five idaho womens symposium events in various cities, promoting the impact of storytelling on altering community discourse and enhancing discussions on reproductive rights.
