Mission and Program Overview

Mission

To advance economic opportunity and prosperity for LGBTQ and ally communities through educational programs, supporting the innovation economy.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Regional Development & Chapter Leadership Programs: The establishment and growth of regional chapters have been pivotal in increasing community engagement and local support for LGBTQ+ and allied innovators. To date, four chapters have been launched, driving 17 community activities and building a network supporting over 100 nonprofit community partners, 35 corporate partners, and hundreds of businesses across America. These chapters serve as localized hubs that empower members, strengthen community ties, and create opportunities for economic collaboration, amplifying workforce development, educational opportunities, and economic growth for the American public. Programs have included talks, fireside chats, panel discussions in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Atlanta, Washington DC, and Chicago.$0$51,765
The Annual Summit: LGBT+ VC Summit is a flagship event designed to advance the organization's mission of supporting LGBTQ+ representation and inclusion within the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. This program has reached 500 beneficiaries, providing educational workshops, keynote speeches, and networking sessions aimed at fostering growth and building community-driven relationships. The event's high participant satisfaction is evidenced by its consistent 5-star rating.$0$13,727
LGBT+ VC's Youth Educational Programs are dedicated to nurturing future leaders from underrepresented backgrounds. The program highlights include serving a diverse group of youth innovators and fellows--88% identifying as queer, trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, and 71% as first-generation student fellows. We offered three cohorts of the program in the inaugural year. These programs have effectively mobilized support, drawing 79% of individual donors who are first-time contributors to an LGBTQ nonprofit including orus. The educational programs help develop essential skills and foster resilience among young leaders, ensuring continued progress toward a more inclusive financial literacy and education.$0$3,565
