“CONFERS is a membership organization that offers four membership levels: Sustaining Members Contributing Members Observer Members and Government Observer Members. Sustaining Members have the unique opportunity to be eligible for CONFERS Board service in addition to possessing voting rights for draft standards and publication approvals as well as internal decisions during the annual General Assembly. They also benefit from active participation in CONFERS Committees workshops and exclusive members-only events. Sustaining Members have privileged access to the organizations exclusive website and services. Contributing Members on the other hand enjoy voting rights for draft standards and publications approval and internal decisions during the annual General Assembly. Like Sustaining Members they can actively engage in CONFERS Committees workshops and members-only events. Contributing Members also have access to the organizations exclusive website and services enhancing their overall membership experience. Observer Members are welcomed to participate in CONFERS Committees workshops and members-only events gaining insights and networking opportunities within the community. These members also have access to the organizations exclusive website and services enabling them to stay informed and connected within the industry. Government Observer Members play a crucial role in the organization by participating in CONFERS Committees workshops and members-only events. This level of membership allows government representatives to engage with industry professionals contributing their unique perspectives to the discussions and initiatives within CONFERS. They also have access to the organizations exclusive website and services fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors in the advancement of standards and practices.”

“All membership levels may nominate individuals from Sustaining Level Member companies to run for the Board. Sustaining Level Members and Contributing Level Members are eligible to vote for Board candidates.”

“The Board is responsible for setting the annual budget and approving expenditures. The Board also approves contracts and other legal documents.”

“Board members and the Executive Director are required to file an annual conflict of interest disclosure and notify the association within one month of any material changes during the course of the year.”

“The Board annually reviewed the Executive Directors performance versus KPIs and bases compensation on that along with comparisons to the American Society of Association Executives annual compensation survey. The Board approves the Executive Directors contract annually.”
