Mission

PDDBM's primary exempt purpose is to provide charitable and educational programs that empower and uplift African American and other underserved youth. The organization delivers free afterschool programs in fashion design, filmmaking, and journalism that build creative, technical, and professional skills. PDDBM also hosts cultural and educational community events that promote historical awareness, leadership development, mentorship, and economic self-sufficiency for children and families in underserved communities.

The Journalism Program produced digital and print issues of PROUD Magazine featuring student-written articles, interviews, photography, and community stories. Programs emphasized mentorship, leadership development, cultural education, and workforce readiness.
