“Daughters of norway is composed of a grand lodge and 28 subordinate lodges. The goals of the organization include: to unite into a sisterhood, women who wish to preserve norwegian heritage to maintain among members a knowledge of the history, culture, and language of norway to build a stong support system and bond of friendship within the sisterhood the grand lodge is the umbrella organization that forms and disbands subordinate lodges, promotes cultural opportunities, holds biennial conventions to promote the interaction of like-minded women, publishes a bimonthly newspaper for the membership called dotre av norge, oversees a scholarship program for college students, maintains the non-profit status of the entire organization, and conducts other business that is deemed in the interests of norwegian-american women and the scandinavian population in general.”

The goals of the society: support and promote the literary and artistic endeavors of members, compile a list of members' works; provide support and information to members; publish a biennial journal of members' writing; publish selected writings of members in the dotre av norge (newsletter); have a presence on the d of n website publish a society newsletter”

“Scholarships the grand lodge daughters of norway offers scholarships to full-time college, university, tehnical or vocational students who are either a member of, or related to a member of the daughters of norway. Four 1,000 scholarships were awarded in the current fiscal year.”

“Duaghters of norway general fund the fund will be used for educational, charitable, and literary endeavors, as defined and/or restricted by the endowment fund guidelines, and the daughter of norway constitution. The endowment is funded by contributions from daughters of norway lodges and members, and other individuals, businesses, foundations, corporations, etc. A gift of any size helps in achieving the goal of securing and preserving our heritage.”
