Shirley bridge bungalows follows sound's (a related tax exempt organization) conflict of interest, whistleblower and document retention policies. The board of directors is covered by the policy. Prospective board members are questioned on any existing and/or potential conflict of interest issues during the board member recruitment process. The board has a practice that it is the responsibility of all board members to continually monitor and disclose any new or potential conflict of interest concerns on an ongoing basis. The department of housing and urban development requires that amounts received for tenant security deposits be placed in a restricted bank account to be used only for deposits received and disbursed.

PART X, LINE 2:

The internal revenue service (irs) has determined that the project is exempt from federal income tax under sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(2) of the internal revenue code. Accordingly, no provision for income tax is reflected in these financial statements. The project files income tax returns with the u.s. And various state and local governments. The project is subject to income tax examinations by the tax authorities of these governments for the current year and certain prior years based on the applicable laws and regulations of each jurisdiction.
