“The mission of Its Time For Kids is to reward at-risk youth for positive behavior with recreational, educational, and cultural programs, and to encourage them to repeat these pro-social activities on their own, with the broader goal of their making better choices in life.”

“Our Childrens Activities Program serves as the core mission of the organization. The children served are from 6 to 18 years of age. Children in foster care and group homes have often been removed from their homes, due to abuse or neglect, and have very limited opportunities to learn pro-social activities. Without exposure to pro-social activities, these kids become at-risk for a variety of negative behavior, such as school dropout, drug abuse, and crime. The recreational, cultural, and educational programs we provide help children to develop their social skills, and to learn appropriate behavior in different public settings. All activities are designed to encourage young first-time offenders to stay in school and to improve their behavior. Most of the children we serve are disadvantaged and come from families with very low socio-economic status.”
