Mission

Our goal is for washington state to lead the nation with an education system that prepares all students to succeed in college and work and fosters our state's economic competitiveness. Partnership for learning (pfl) is focused on ensuring all students graduate from high school ready for college and work and doubling the number of low-income students who earn post secondary degrees or certificates.

THIS IS MAINLY ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH THEIR ANNUAL "APPEAL" CAMPAIGN, BUT ALSO ON AN ONGOING BASIS THROUGH THEIR DEEP INVOLVEMENT IN WASHINGTON STATE.(2) DURING THE MOST RECENT 5-YEAR PERIOD, PARTNERSHIP FOR LEARNING HAS RECEIVED CONTRIBUTIONS FROM 40+ DIFFERENT DONORS, FURTHER DEMONSTRATING THEIR PUBLICLY SUPPORTED STATUS.(3) PARTNERSHIP FOR LEARNING'S GOVERNING BOARD IS COMPRISED OF INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE COMMITTED TO HELPING WASHINGTON STATE LEAD THE NATION WITH AN EDUCATION SYSTEM THAT PREPARES ALL STUDENTS TO SUCCEED IN COLLEGE AND WORK. THEIR EFFORTS BENEFIT NOT ONLY THE BROAD INTERESTS OF WASHINGTON STATE, BUT ALSO THE ENTIRE COUNTRY.(4) ON AN ANNUAL BASIS, PARTNERSHIP FOR LEARNING EMPHASIZES THE NEED FOR STANDARDS AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN WASHINGTON STATE'S K-12 EDUCATION SYSTEM. THE PARTNERSHIP'S EFFORTS HAVE BEEN CRITICAL IN MAINTAINING SUPPORT FOR WASHINGTON'S STANDARDS-BASED REFORMS.
