NATIVE HEALTH OF SPOKANE PROVIDED PRIMARY MEDICAL CARE, ALONG WITH A DIABETES PROGRAM, AND LIMITED ADULT COUNSELING SERVICES TO A PRIMARILY LOW INCOME/UNDER-SERVED POPULATION. THE NATIVE PROJECT PROVIDES CARE TO PERSONS COVERED BY GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAMS AT BELOW COST AND TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE UNABLE TO PAY. THE UNREIMBURSED VALUE OF PROVIDING CARE TO CLINIC PATIENTS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR WERE 451,463 FOR CHARITY CARE, 77,147 FOR MEDICARE, 772,859 FOR MEDICAID, AND 146,609 FOR OTHER THIRD PARTY PAYORS. THEY HAD 4,424 MEDICAL VISITS, 386 DENTAL VISITS, 3,806 MENTAL HEALTH VISITS, AND 1,057 SUBSTANCE ABUSE VISITS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR. THE NATIVE PROJECT ALSO HAD 154 LEADERSHIP CAMP PARTICIPANTS, 130 SUMMER PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS AND APPROXIMATELY 1,530 WELLNESS PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS.
