Mission and Program Overview

Mission

See schedule oskookum provides exceptional service to our clients. In doing so, we create the opportunity to integrate people of all ability into the workforce. In 2018, skookum continued to expand outreach to veterans and wounded warriors. At the close of the year, over one third of skookum's 1,300 employees were veterans, and over one quarter of those 1,300 employees were veterans with a service-connected disability. At the close of 2018, skookum managed operations in 11 states plus the district of columbia. Skookum's 2018 contractor performance ratings, as measured by our government customers through the contractor performance assessment reporting system (cpars), were consistently exceptional.

The covid-19 pandemic presented extraordinary challenges to the skookum team. Integral to our customer's ability to meet their mission, the vast majority of the skookum team were deamed "mission essential", remaining on the job and on the front line in our nation's struggle to overcome covid. Our essential services kept our nation's war fighters healthy and on watch during these dark days. This allowed skookum to continue to integrate people of all abilties into the workforce. We have over 1,307 employees in twelve states including washington dc. Veterans with service connected disabilities account for over a third of our workforce. Skookum continued to invest in the aerospace manufacturing facility acquired in 2019, adding new oem customers in the defense industry to the array of commerical customers. Veteran employment remained a focus in the aerospace facility.
