Mission and Program Overview

Mission

With other three decades of excellence rooted in sound business practices, we create the opportunity to integrate people of all abilities into the workforce. We have over 1,300 employees in twelve states including washington dc. Veterans with service connected disabilities account for over a third of our workforce. At the beginning of 2019, we purchased an aerospace manufacturing facility to expand the employment of veterans in our communities.

Skookum creates employment opportunity for people with disabilities. Over 75% of skookum's direct labor workforce is comprised of people with a wide range of significant disabilities. In 2017, skookum continued to expand outreach to veterans with disabilities. At the close of 2017, just under 1,200 people were employed at skookum. Veterans comprised over one-third of this workforce.at the close of 2017, skookum managed operations in 10 states plus the district of columbia. Skookum's 2017 contractor performance ratings, as measured by our government customers through the contractor performance assessment reporting system (cpars), were consistently exceptional.
