Healing the Children, National Office and affiliated chapters are nonprofit corporations, which are exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Management has determined there are no material uncertain tax positions that require recognition in the financial statements. Additionally, no provision for income taxes is reflected in these financial statements. There is no interest or penalties recognized in the statement of activities or statement of financial position. The Organizations past three years income tax returns remain open for possible examination by the federal tax authorities.
