Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

The draft form 990 is distributed to all board members via email. The board then approves the submission of the form 990.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

The school administrator and director consistently monitor conflict of interest with regards to the board and key employees. In the event there is a conflict, the school administrator brings this conflict to the attention of the board president. One example may be in regards to financial aid being awarded to a board member. The board member's identity is masked from the financial aid committee decision-makers and the board recipient does not serve on the committee making the award decisions.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

Compensation is determined by an employee's experience, education, and number of years employed with fcs. Comparative analysis with other like organizations is done and reviewed by the executive committee of the board.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19

The documents are made available upon request from the administration office.
