Activity 2

Service animal resource center: about 15% of all u.s. Residents have a disability. Many of these people could gain more independence and comfort from having a service animal (an animal trained to do specific tasks for a person with a disability) in their lives. Via delta society's web site, people can locate a service animal trainer and access consumer information on the types of questions to ask to find the right match. Additionally, the organization provides resources for consumers and companies about the ada laws that provide for public access to people with service animals. Delta society also helps fund the training of several service dogs annually for people who cannot afford the costs - it can cost anywhere from $10,000 to $60,000 to train a service dog.

Activity 3

Human-animal bond resource center: this web-based program provides access to abstracts, articles, and other resources for people interested in learning about research and other information on how interacting with animals can improve people's health and well-being. Information is accessed by healthcare and other professionals, students, journalists, and consumers looking for alternative approaches to improving their own health and well-being.
