Major changes include clarifying and updating the role and participation of the president & ceo; clarification and guidance on the organization's role in related organization governance; and clarifying the differences in authority, function and membership between standing committees and advisory committees/task forces.”

Procedures include a duty to disclose potential conflicts, recusal from decision making regarding any relevant transaction or arrangement, and investigation and assessment of the impact of the potential transaction or arrangement; these procedures are submitted to the board for its consideration. Each director signs, dates, and returns the acknowledgment statement to the seattle symphony orchestra.”
