“Form 990-EZ, Part III- First Accomplishment, Water Well Pumps Installation Project-- Our District now has 55 pumps being used on a continual basis. Our goal is to maintain these pumps with a reliability of at least 90%. This means monthly repairs and a plan for preventive maintenance. Go Drill International, Inc. has teamed up with the local government in order to maintain this high reliability rate. The Water District office provides two mechanic/engineers with motorcycles. We provide the necessary spare parts and specialty tools needed for specific jobs. This model is already providing quality long term and is very close to sustainable already. Over the last 5 years we have averaged 40+ repairs per year. Our goal is to keep that number low with better ongoing maintenance, education and quality parts. Keeping a well pumping is one of our top priorities. Each village is now in a program to collect a very small amount from each household in order to pay for ongoing repairs in the future making the program fully sustainable.”

“Form 990-EZ, Part III-Second Accomplishment, Rain Water Collection---The prison water collection has continued to grow this year to provide greater amounts of water to meet the needs of prisoners, guards and family. Go Drill has also installed several more demonstration areas in cooperation with the local Community Development Office in order for locals to get a firsthand look at the amount of water a family can collect in a given rain. Whereas we do have some very good demonstration systems installed, it proves more difficult to get locals to invest in a system. Go Drill is working to provide a good long term solution to the cost and installation of these systems. By helping some of the small village local government offices, we are showing how the system works and also providing people with fresh water. The ongoing challenge is how to finance these systems for individuals to afford.”

“Form 990-EZ, Part III-Third Accomplishment, Agricultural Improvement Project--- Go Drill International, Inc. continues to demonstrate low/no cost ways to improve soil and crop production. We are also showing how to utilize and improve kitchen gardens to improve the local diet. Simple things like collecting leaves and grass cutting in order to compost. Cutting grass and crops and leaving them no till as a cover of mulch. Planting a smaller more controlled area of good crops vs. a large area with little to no harvest. Several of our areas are showing great improvement over time, but due to the intense years of slash and burn here, it is taking some time to recover. Other ag development is in the form of using neem and moringa trees to aid in farming. From soil erosion control to bug control, there are many assets these trees offer a local farmer. With a rainy season from December thru May, we must wait a long time for results between plantings. By improving the soil, we hope to start getting two crops during this time. Also using other watering and irrigation techniques, we can grow some crops year round. This will remain on a small scale for some time with hopes of a larger scale sustainable farm in the future.”

“Form 990-EZ, Part III-Fourth Accomplishment, Drilling--- There are currently 54 villages in the Liwale District of Tanzania with over 1500 people that have no clean water at all. Go Drill International's goal is to install water well hand pumps in these villages. In 2015 Go Drill did not have the equipment necessary to conduct its own drilling. We did partner with the Water District thru a World Bank Grant to provide finishing services to the wells drilled. Our drilling operations should be up and running and drilling in June of 2016. Our plan is to drill 10-12 wells per year and continue until each village on the list has clean water. Our capacity to increase the amount of wells per year is directly proportional to the support from donors. We are committed to doing our best with the equipment we have and get more when we can to meet these needs as soon as possible.”
