Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

Youth education: throughout the winter/spring semester, we met weekly with our 2016 cohort of peer mediators at claremont academy. In august, we trained a new cohort of mediators. During the fall semester, we taught weekly classes in peer mediation and peace building to both cohorts, fifteen students participating. In feb, we launched voices of peace, a youth media project. One teen interiewer produced 12 radio shorts featuring local peace builders

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 29

Adult education: in april/may, the center presented 3 performances of "we grow into courage", a dramatic reading of texts by women involved in the civil rights struggle. A total of eighty people attended. In may, the center provided a 16-hour training in mediation and conflict transformation to five staff members at straight ahead ministries, a faith-based organization that works with gang-affiliated youth. 150 people attended "peacemaking in perilous times", a panel presentation on domestic and international peace initiatives held in september. Seventy people attended social justice happy hours for area educators offered throught the spring and fall semesters.
