Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

Yes, the board of directors have received an electronic copy of the Form 990 before filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

The compensation for the CEO and COO is determined by the independent voting members of the board of directors (excluding the CEO and COO). There was research provided by the 2014 Guidestar National Non-Profit Compensation Report to the board of directors for compensation, duties and comparable data to determine compensation of management. Due to financial status of BE A CHAMPION, INC., the CEO and COO did not receive normal compensation for the year.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19

BE A CHAMPION, INC.'S policy is to provide all governing documents (By-Laws, audits, tax returns, conflict of interest policies, etc.) to all constituents that request these documents in writing.
