“Mavericks Legacy is a 501c3 non-profit started by Kimberly and Darrin Chambers, in memory of their son, Maverick Scott Chambers. Maverick tragically passed away April 23, 2022, at just 4 months and 26 days old from a choking accident. We are dedicated to honoring the memory of Maverick by creating a positive impact on our community. Our mission is to promote infant and child safety through awareness and education, and to support families who have experienced the devastating loss of a child. We strive to reduce preventable choking deaths and injuries by providing LifeVac devices to schools and first responders, and by spreading awareness about the importance of infant and child safety. Through our efforts, we hope to empower parents and caregivers with the knowledge and tools they need to protect their children from harm. In addition to our safety initiatives, we are committed to supporting families in their grief by offering acts of kindness and support. We believe that by coming together as a community, we can honor Mavericks legacy and make a positive difference in the lives of others. At Mavericks Legacy, we are driven by our passion for helping others and our desire to make the world a safer, more compassionate place.”
