“Impact.org, inc. (the corporation) was formed at the direction of southern new hampshire university (snhu) for the benefit of snhu, as long as snhu is an organization described sections 501(c)(3) and 170(c)(1)(a)(ii) of the internal revenue code of 1986, as amended (the code). The activities of the corporation will concentrate principally on providing resources and support to mission compatible educational organizations that assist snhu in extending the reach of its mission. Snhu has been extraordinarily successful in broadening the availability of higher education to those who might otherwise be unable to afford or otherwise access it. By creating the corporation, snhu has a resource through which it might advance its charitable, educational mission through governance and other relationships with other code section 501(c)(3) educational entities. In such cases, the corporation expects to be able to function as the sole corporate member of the subject educational institution.”
