“In october 2017 knpb debuted season 4 of our hugely popular series, wild nevada. Wild nevada is perhaps the most beloved local series in knpb's history, with its 47 previous episodes in the broadcast schedule's continuous rotation introducing viewers to the history, characters and nearly infinite variety of recreational opportunities that await in the state of nevada. Season 4 added 13 more episodes to the series. In addition, specific education content was produced for posting on knpb pbs learning media for classroom use. Knpb's ready to learn program continued its strong growth, expanding to 4 rural counties in the 2016-2017 school year. 1569 workshops were held for 30,450 students 10,610 students received a new book as a part of the ready to learn program. Also in 2017, knpb continued production and broadcast of the weekly arts program, arteffects. 20 of our local segments have been shared for national broadcast with other pbs stations offering a program like this.”
