To promote respect and understanding between the people of utah and other nations. Uccd serves as a nonprofit-sector partner with the u.s. Department of state's professional and cultural exchange programs, most notably the international visitor leadership program. Uccd arranges these professional and cultural programs for emerging leaders who visit the u.s. As guests of our government. Uccd is guided by the concept of "citizen diplomacy" - the idea that as citizens we have the right, even the responsibility, to help shape u.s. Foreign relations "one hand-shake at a time.
