“The organization's primary program service accomplismentes include holding public events and engaging in community outreach to increase visibility and a sense of belonging for the lgbtqia+ community. On september 26, 2021, the organization held a family event for lgbtqia+ families and allies. The event included music, food, yoga, and children's activities. Approximately 200 people attended. The organization also established a presence at the port washington holiday market on november 14, 2021. On november 20, 2021, the organization held a vigil for transgender day of remembrance with approximately 25 people in attendance. On may 19, 2022, the organization had a table at the port outdoors event to increase awareness and provide support information. On june 10, 2022, the organization held the chalk the walk event with food, chalk and music to prepare for the pride walk and festival, approximately 350 people participated. On june 12, 2022, the organization held the pride walk and festival in support of the lghtqia+ community with approximately 1,000 participants. On friday, june 17, 2022 the organization, in partnership with the public library, screened a film that was lgbtqia+ written and directed for pride month. On august 2, 2022, the organization had an informational table at the national night out event to increase awareness and inclusivity. In addition to these events, the organization held monthly parent support meetings for parents of queer and questioning youth led by local mental health professionals. Throughout the year, the organization printed and distributed lawn signs for the community to increase visibility and a sense of belonging for the lgbtqia+ community, and in june 2022, the organization purchased and displayed 138 rainbow flags on main street in port washington to increase visibility and inclusivity for pride month.”
