“Unsheltered utah is a grassroots non-profit effort that formed from with community members coming together to meet needs of unsheltered individuals who often have a difficult time navigating existing programs or even knowing what resources are available to them. We work with social services partnerships and within existing community resources to best serve the individuals we encounter. Unsheltered utah is focused on meeting the immediate needs of the unsheltered residents of utah, coordinating with existing social services, while working toward creating employment and permanent housing solutions.”

“We opened two emergency overnight shelters at local churches over 32 nights for approximately 150 individuals per night. We did seven 7 outreach events in which we provided food and survival supplies to approximately 100 folks living on the streets, including food, water, ice, clothing, camping gear, clothing, etc. We helped get approximately 15 families into temporary hotel rooms until they could get into shelter or permanent house. We provided case management for at least 2-3 individuals to help them get into supportive housing. We provided feedback to legislators that was instrumental in writing and passing the code blue legislation that allows emergency overnight shelters on the coldes winter nights.”
