“Ongoing preparation and review of the form 990 is handled by the director of operations under the oversight of the executive director. The completed form 990 is reviewed by the executive director and copies are provided to board members for review before the tax return is filed.”

“The organization maintains a written conflict policy in its policies and procedures manual. New board members are aware of the policy and before a new board member is accepted onto the board, any potential conflicts are discussed. During board meetings, should a board member have a conflict of interest, that board member is excused and is not allowed to vote.”

“The board reviews and approves any compensation, whether it is a merit or cola raise. The board utilizes a comparative yearly report based on like non-profits. Should there be a conflict of interest for one of the board members (i.e. Relationship), that board member is not allowed to vote.”

“Other program services 4: colorado plateau conservation initiative: round river is providing support to native american communities in the colorado plateau region in the areas of land planning, conservation science, and community outreach. Other program services 5: botswana okavango delta conservation project:in partnership with the okavango research institute, round river is conducting research activities including mapping, monitoring ecosystem services, and wildlife movement studies. Other program services 6: chile patagonia conservation project:round river is assisting conservacion patagonica with restoration efforts and ecological data collection in the future patagonia national park. Round river is also assisting conaf (corporacion nacional forestal)with conservation planning and natural resource data collection in protected areas of southern chile. Other program services 7: yukon north slope project:round river is partnering with the wildlife management advisory council (north slope), providing technical assistance with conservation science and land planning for the northern costal region of the yukon territory.”
