Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

One key volunteer project included the receipt of a 10,000 donation and over 286 hours of service in one day from windermere commercial real estate to help update a building into our new admin south building. This building now houses a clinical staff member, our adoption respite care staff, the in-home parent education program staff, and space for classes and meetings. This project saved the agency close to 100,000 in capital expense. Individual program services for the year include: crisis nurseries: 24/7 free short-term childcare for families in crisis situations and children at-risk of abuse or neglect. 1,457 children made 9,326 visits to the crisis nursery, including 858 overnight stays, 9,671 meals, and over 51,742 hours of care. These service totals also include 664 families experiencing homelessness, who were provided with both daytime and overnight visits. The crisis nurseries provided a safe refuge for 71 children at risk for abuse or neglect and 68 children whose families were involved in domestic violence situations.

Adoption respite care: in-home respite care for adoptive families. 200 children in 37 families were served in 273 visits totaling over 1,637 hours of care. In-home parenting programs: free in-home parenting support. The family mentor program served 182 individuals in 52 families with in-home support. The peer parenting program served 387 individuals in 102 families with in- home support. 70% of family mentor families were reading with their children at the completion of the program compared to 11% at the beginning of the program. Kidstart daycare: offering low-cost, quality and curriculum-based childcare for ages newborn to five years. 69 children were served with 8,960 hours of care.

THE AGENCY ALSO HAD THE SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE OF 13,028 VOLUNTEER HOURS OF SERVICE GIVEN BY 1,506 UNDUPLICATED VOLUNTEERS. THESE HOURS WERE A 9% INCREASE OVER THE PREVIOUS FISCAL YEAR. FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER IS PLEASED TO REPORT THAT 87 OF EVERY DOLLAR RAISED GOES DIRECTLY TO PROGRAM SUPPORT. ONE KEY VOLUNTEER PROJECT INCLUDED THE RECEIPT OF A 10,000 DONATION AND OVER 286 HOURS OF SERVICE IN ONE DAY FROM WINDERMERE COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE TO HELP UPDATE A BUILDING INTO OUR NEW ADMIN SOUTH BUILDING.
