“Organization's Process to Review Form 990The local union hires an outside CPA firm to prepare its 990 tax return. Prior to the return being filed each voting member of the governing board is provided a copy of the 990. Once the governing board is satisfied that the return is complete and accurate, it authorizes its CPA firm to file the return electronically.”

“Compensation Process for Top OfficialThe wages set for the top management positions are set by the local union and are consistent with reasonable compensation levels of similar labor union positions within the state of Utah. The pay rates are set in the organization's Bylaws and are linked to the top pay rates of the represented membership.”

“Compensation Process for OfficersThe governing board of the local union reviews any modifications to the compensation of its officers. These modifications are well within reasonable amounts for similar labor positions in this industry and for the state of Utah. Any cost of living adjustments are linked to the same COLAs that the represented membership would receive. The wages rates of the local's officers are set in the local's Bylaws.”
